About Us

Open Door is an online platform that provides Bible study & micro church resources. Our aim is to connect with a generation searching for an authentic Jesus centered experience, as described in the gospels.

We believe many individuals are struggling to find a church that aligns with the gospels. So many churches focus on religiosity, authority, or even political ties, distancing members from the true purpose of church. We are not opposed to traditional or even, mega churches. We just believe in the power of small groups. They provide the opportunity to break bread in an intimate way, to build close meaningful connections, to ask questions and raise concerns, to have thoughtful discussions, and ultimately to create a Christ centered community.

Our Purpose

Empower all people to pursue the mission of Christ, demonstrated in the gospels.

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

Our Mission

Provide Biblical, historical, & cultural teachings that bring us closer to Jesus.

"Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

John 14:6

"I love those who love me, and those who diligently seek me will find me."

Proverbs 8:17

Our Vision

To establish a multitude of micro churches, as originally described in the gospels: small groups gathering in worship & study, breaking bread, & sharing prayer.

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals, and to prayer.”

Acts 2:42

Our Values

Love God. Serve God. Love Others. Serve Others.

“Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Matthew 22:37-39

“And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Acts 20:35

“God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.”

1 Peter 4:10-11

Our Guiding Belief

All are welcome & you are chosen.

“But some of these branches from Abraham’s tree—some of the people of Israel—have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God’s special olive tree.”

Romans 11:17
